While doing Preston’s blog post I realized we had a lot of pictures that were really just Lucy’s story, so she needs her own blog post. She just keeps getting more and more grown up. It’s so much fun watching and helping her experience things for the first time. She definitely can be a little threenager with her attitudes, but for the most part she’s a sweetie. She definitely earns the title best big sister. She loves to help with Preston, and is so good at entertaining him. He is so lucky to have such a great big sister.
We inherited a bike from some neighbors and she had fun helping daddy put training wheels on it. Since then she has been pretty wary of riding it. I don’t know if we need to start with a tricycle or just give her time. But she looks so cute on it!
Lucy loves playing with friends and one of her good friends right now is Jemma. I loved their superhero costumes and how they played was even cuter. They were pretending stuffed animals were bad guys, but then when they went to fight them, they would say, “Oh but he’s so cute! Let’s bring him home!”
She loves going to church to see her friends. She’s gone to a couple primary activities. She has wonderful teachers and leaders.
Lucy had her first dance recital, and it was the cutest thing ever! I cried the whole time. Her little class did so good, they knew their Monkey Dance! They went very first, and got super loud cheers, it was so much fun. We’re taking a break from dance for the summer, we’ll see what Lucy wants to do in the fall, if we continue or try something different like gymnastics. We’ll miss all the cute girls in her class though.
She is a great helper and loves helping Kenny especially. Here she’s helping with changing our light switches. She likes helping me cook and bake, especially cookies. She is just adorable! She is super independent and almost always has to pick her own clothes. She loves her Big Sister shirt the most, and also loves wearing dresses and skirts. If I let her choose her hairstyle it’s usually either “Anna hair” (two braids), or “down and crazy” (meaning I do nothing). She loves anything Disney and Disneyland related. She and Kenny love to watch Disneyland rides together on YouTube. She loves to tell knock knock jokes, which are usually just random made up ones. She also recently started doing “magic tricks”. She just hides whatever she has. We got her a little CD player at DI and she really likes sitting in her room listening to music. She’s really been into Veggietales CD’s we get from the library. I love hearing her belt out along with the songs during quiet time. When Preston is asleep one of her favorite things is to “snuggle and cuddle and watch a movie”. How can you say no to that? We love our little girl so much and we’re so blessed that she’s in our family!
