Preston keeps just growing up and getting cuter! His hair just keeps getting longer, and still doesn’t want to lay down. It’s cute though, so we’ll just embrace it. He had a well check this month, so he now weighs 16 lbs. 15 oz, and is 29″ long. He didn’t gain much weight, but is also teething and he has a hard time eating while teething, so the doctor didn’t seem worried. He is finally figuring out how to mash food with his gums too, which is good because he really doesn’t like being spoon fed. He just wants to do it himself! He has started waving which is oh so cute!
We had to go take pictures outside because Preston loves being outside. When he realizes that I’m putting on my shoes to go outside he gets really excited and starts panting. I love when he gets excited.
He is trying to get into everything! He loves opening doors on toys and cupboards and is trying so hard to figure out how to get up the stairs. I’m sure it won’t be long. He is still just scooting, but he is fast at it. He loves to jabber and giggle. He’ll jabber a few words and then go, “haha” like he just told you something funny. He’s still such a happy baby. He also will put his mouth in this cute little O shape and whistles, so talented! He loves Lucy so much and wants to follow her everywhere.
We’ve gotten to the age when church is hard. Luckily he’ll usually still take a small nap at some point. But other than that he wants to be moving. How long until nursery?
Preston has the sweetest little smile. He still tries to be cuddly when he doesn’t want to go move and get something. He’ll pat my arm and sometimes gives open mouth kisses. He still isn’t sleeping that great. I keep having good intentions about sleep training, but then he’ll start teething, or get constipated or something and I don’t do it. But maybe this month will be the time and he’ll be sleeping through the night by 10 months, dare to dream. Even if he doesn’t, he is still the cutest little man. We are so glad to have him in our family!
