Lucy started taking a dance class for 2-3 year olds in November. She had a really hard time at first, she would just sit there and watch everyone else. And if I tried to get her to participate she would cry. I was about to give up at the end of the first month, but then she started showing glimmers of wanting to participate, so we kept going and now she loves it. It’s really the first thing she has done with structure. They have to take turns, stay in line, listen to the teacher, and they all do a great job!
They always start with stretches. Lucy is in the middle with the pink long-sleeve leotard and the black leggings. She really likes when they do the cobra stretch on their tummies.
All the girls really like when they practice their bunny hops. Lucy is so cute, her ponytail bounces up and down the whole time.
They also do galloping like a pony which is one of Lucy’s favorite parts. They go to the window right foot first and then back to the mirror left foot first. Lucy is actually really good between her left and right foot. She also really likes that at the end of class she always gets a treat. All the moms switch off bringing them.
And me and Preston get some one on one snuggle time while we watch through the window with the other moms and younger siblings.
