I meant to write a post at 18 months, but never got around to it, so now Lucy is 19 months! Time is going by super fast as always. It’s been going by really quickly now that it’s summer too, we are outside all day.
This is the dress my cousin Maggie wore and our wedding, now it fits Lucy! Looks pretty cute on her. She has started going to nursery. She does pretty good once she gets over us leaving. It is sad hearing her cry as you walk out, but she’s always perfectly happy when Kenny picks her up. This last week I asked her if she had fun in nursery and she said, “Snack!” So we know what her favorite part is. I also asked if she sang any songs and she said, “Jee (how she says Jesus), beam!” So she does seem to be learning some.
Lucy loves, and I mean LOVES Winnie the Pooh. She has a few books that she likes to read, she now knows where they keep them in the library too, so she goes and picks one every time we go. She has a few stuffed animals too that she really likes to play with. She also loves the songs, now that is all we can listen to in the car. Luckily Winnie the Pooh doesn’t get on our nerves, and there are quite a few songs. If there is ever anything Winnie the Pooh at the store, she’ll see it, like a little Winnie the Pooh on a diaper box at Walmart.
It’s always funny watching Lucy figure out stuff. She likes playing with these felt animals, and the other day she put them in this semicircle all by herself. She also likes trying to walk around in our shoes. She also had fun painting, she was painting all the tips of her fingers, when she was done she said, “Tada!”
The other day she took out all these blankets from her drawer. I was looking at them and thinking how lucky Lucy is, she is so loved! She has blankets from both of her grandmas, and 3 of her great-grandmas! There are also a few made by great-aunts.
Lucy has fun pushing her baby around in the stroller. She also likes carrying her purse around. Sometimes she grabs it when we’re leaving to go to the store, so she can be just like Mommy! She is still talking a ton, it seems like she picks up new things everyday. She is starting to figure out counting, and knows pink, white, and red, for colors. Also if you ask her how old she is, she says two. I keep trying to tell her one, but maybe I’ll just have her keep saying that, only 5 more months! Where does the time go?
